Looking for Maven Publishing? See our news »

If you’ve been following our blog, you may remember our post from August about entering one of our recent books, Startup: From Idea to Launch: Navigating the Four Stages of a Startup Business in the 2016 Davey Awards.

Well, we just received notification that Startup received a Silver award!

The Davey Awards is a competition for small creative and design companies—its mission is to bring attention to companies “who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.” At Maven, we are also passionate about helping small businesses thrive, so we felt like the Davey Awards was a perfect fit.

Startup, written by Matthew Smith and Jessica Dawson, was entered into competition in the E-book category, which is part of the Content Marketing division. We’re excited that the Davey Awards recognizes the fact that books can be powerful marketing tools for small businesses, and we’re even more excited that they honored Startup with a Silver award!

If you’ve been wondering if writing a book could be a good “next step” for your small business, contact us today! We’d love to hear your story and get you on the right path to making a deeper connection with your customers and becoming a real standout in your industry.
